Abstract

The article provides information on the distributive power of the Internet challenges to the innovations of the music and entertainment industry in the U.S. It states that the Internet and the relatively low cost of setting up a virtual community as well as online shop open up possibilities for musicians and other artists. According to the author, the next trend of online business innovation may be driven by user content service providers who recognize their value and demand some sort of compensation, royalties and equity.
